There are no national standards in place for the participation of demand response in wholesale markets and each regional market has a diverse set of rules, regulations and market constructs. These DR programs are emerging and subject to frequent regulatory rule change. NAPP matches client’s needs and capabilities with market opportunities based on our in-depth understanding of each region’s unique demand response options. NAPP has implemented a compliance program for regional and federal regulations and is developing documented industry best practices. Working within specific budget and investment constraints, NAPP currently offers the following programs to customers in its target market.
NAPP provides you with a strategic asset management approach to allow industrial and commercial facilities to manage energy consumption and push excess capacity into the grid. YOU can help safeguard the electric grid from failure throughout the year. The intent is to encourage you to enroll with NAPP to reduce a small portion of your electricity when a grid emergency is declared to ensure there is enough electric for you and your neighbors. You will receive ongoing payments based upon the kilowatt load you have agreed to reduce, regardless of whether a curtailment is called. If an event is called, you receive an additional payment based upon any over compliance of electric reduction.
